Water Street Historic District (Torrington, Connecticut) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Water Street Historic District (Torrington, Connecticut)
The Water Street Historic District is a historic district in the city of Torrington, Connecticut, located near the center of the city. The district includes industrial and commercial buildings, constructed between 1885 and the 1920s, along two blocks of Water Street. The original construction included a mixture of homes and commercial buildings; but most of the original homes have been demolished and replaced by commercial structures. The centerpiece of the district is the former Hotchkiss Brothers factory, built on the site of Torrington's first mill, and whose mill dam remained in use into the early 20th century.〔〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Water Street Photos )〕 The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.〔 ==See also==
